Life goes around in one big circle and this is how this topic came up. Anybody who knows me at all will tell you that I am the biggest foodie around. I love discovering new places but I am also known to frequent the eateries that I love. Give me a god well made, homemade style pizza and I’ll be hooked for life.

When people – friends or family from abroad or far away come to visit me, I don’t show them around the city – instead I make a food map and take them to my favorite eating places.

I forgot to tell you, I live in Brooklyn and this place is happening. When it comes to food, you really don’t have to travel outside of the boundaries of Brooklyn to get a taste of any country’s delicacies. This is because you get everything here. If you have spare cash – tons of it and feel in the mood to splurge that money can flow like water, but you will also have a gastronomic feast that you will remember for the rest of your life.

From high end restaurants to popular ones which takes hundreds of phone calls to get a reservation and to fast food joints and food trucks that can dish up a treat within minutes. Brooklyn seems to have tamed the eating joints into a semblance of order, but Brooklyn is a growing giant in the world of dining or eating out, and it cannot be controlled.

If you are looking to be one with the city’s vibes, then there are places where you can meet likeminded people. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and want to be in your own isolated dining experience, there are places to go to.

I do have a funny story for you. As I was saying, I’m quite the foodie so when I was younger – end of high school or just at the start of college, I got a part time job working at the local small café near my house. I did work hard and well, but I have a feeling I was also eating a lot of the profits. The owners were very nice people and they knew that I did everything to contribute to the happy working environment but I feel (although they never came right out and told me) that I was eating out their profits. This is because we would get a free lunch and dinner if we worked overtime and since they never specified it was not limited, I really did eat to my heart’s content. They probably didn’t expect it of me because I do have a petite frame, but here you go.

When I decided I was done working for that place, it may be my overactive imagination but I think they gave a big sigh of relief. I’m not joking, if it comes to food, I’ll show you the best places to eat. With everything in your backyard and restaurants to match any budget, why would you ever go elsewhere?
